2005年全区规模以上工业企业完成产值381.55亿元，占全市总量的15%，规模以上工业企业完成工业增加值80.64亿元，全年营业收入上亿元的工业企业48个，九龙坡区主要工业产品有汽车、摩托车、汽车配件、摩托车配件、啤酒、铝材、水泥、房间空调器、小灵通、橡胶轮胎外胎等，其中2005年摩托车产量1835726辆、汽车产量33271辆，分别占全市比重为43.6%、7.9%。

主要工业企业有：建设集团、西南铝业、隆鑫集团、环松摩托、恒胜集团、鑫源摩托、劲隆摩托、庆铃汽车、铁马集团、ABB变压器、建设雅马哈、佳通轮胎、中国普天、格力电器、UT斯达康、中铝西南铝板带、天泰铝业、重啤集团、重庆发电厂、三峡油漆、新时代摩托、富川齿轮、长兴离合器、捷力轮毂、聚兴交通、银角制动器、耀勇减震等。

Jiulongpo District is the biggest industrial area of Chongqing. The gross value of industrial output and the added-value of Jiulongpo District is always the front-runner among all counties and districts of Chongqing Municipality. Yet it is also the core part of “Famous Automobile and Motorcycle Town in China”.

The output of the large industrial enterprises is 38.155 billion yuan, 15% of the gross of Chongqing. And the added value of the large industrial enterprises reaches 8.064 billion yuan. The number of industrial enterprises with annual business income over 100 million yuan reaches 48. The major industrial products include automobiles, motorcycles, automobile accessories, motorcycle accessories, beers, aluminums, cements, air conditioners, little smart wireless city-phones and outer cover of the rubber tire, and so forth. Among which, the output of motorcycle is 1.835726 million, 43.6% of the gross of Chongqing; and that of automobile is 33.271 thousand, 7.9% of the gross of Chongqing in the year 2005.
